My new garden protector

Il Papa it is. We have essentially 2 votes for the man known as Pope Benedict XVI formerly known as Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, a.k.a.:

Papa Joe
Eggs (As in Pope BenedictXVI)
Panzer Papa
B-16, a weapon of Mass instruction
German Shepherd
Papa Ratzi
Papa Razzi
Pontificus Maximus
God's Rottweiler
Benny and the Justs
Papa Bene/Bennie
God's Schnauzer

and of course any of these less reverant terms: Vicar of Christ, Vicar of Peter, Holy Father, Bishop of Rome, Servant of the servants of God, Supreme Pastor, His Holiness, The Rock, Supreme Pontiff, Father of Kings, Governor of the World, Successor of St. Peter, Shepherd of the Universal Church.

He may called by any of these names. Yea, I shall walk through the garden in safety. Oh thank you vicar of asparagus and rhubarb. He is infallible and so shall be my spring seeds. Hosanna.

Habemus Papam!!.

  1. You must feel very secure knowing that a man known in some circles as "God's Rottweiler" is looking out for your harvest. Will he be staying in the huts at any point? I don't want to stir anything up, but you might consider a surveillance camera... just in case. You need someone to watch the watchers. He'll understand.

In slightly related news, it's almost Halloween. You may need to have a guard ASAP on the premises to watch out for Bunicula. Your carrots may not survive.

  2. I don't fear much but BUNICULA is frightening, especially because of that voracious appetite for Las Zanahorias. It takes orange to a whole other level.

  3. I had to look up zanahoria to be sure I knew the meaning-- your command of Spanish is impressive. In the NW, we have to be careful of lost sasqautches (sasquatchi?) that wonder in to town. They won't stop at the zanahorias.
